The best time of my life
"The thing I liked most about my first days in New Zealand was that I was directly seen as a family member and not as a guest.
My host parents organised a lot of things for me like sports and school uniform. They always helped me and talked with me when homesickness hit me. With help from my host family and new friends I got used to the Kiwi lifestyle. It was the best time of my life, especially because of my host family: Bill, Linda, Kate and Hamish." A valuable, unforgettable time
"Coming to New Zealand was a big challenge for me as I had never been away from home for more than a week before.
When I first came here, I was shocked to see the vast farms, mountains and the view of the lake. I really struggled at first as everything is so different to where I come from. However, I learned a lot of things that I would never have if I didn't come here. Living in such a different environment and experiencing another culture completely changed my thoughts and broadened my horizons.
